The installation is inspired by a trip to Siljan in Dalarna, celebrating the interrelation between wildfires, trees and pyrophilic organisms. Fires are necessary to promote biological diversity, allowing fire-dependent species to live or grow, such as Geranium lanuginosum, which sprouts its seeds after a fire. The forest is a place in the making, where the dead and the living are in constant symbiosis; supporting one another throughout nature’s processes.
